For me, I think it's when I'm driving to go to surf or going to go Party!!!
Where are you right this moment?
I'm at my home in Bali, about to go surfing with my son.
Why is music so important in this world?
Well, music is very important because of it's ability to bring the world together. People can hear and ultimately feel what 'good music' is regardless of language or origin. Music brings peace to the world.
April 1st, 2010
There is something very refreshing about entering the month of April in this part of the world. It’s kind of like crossing the finish line and leaving the cold, dark winter months behind. It’s the time of year where we can all take a deep breath and re-focus our energies. For the Wilderness, the transition into the spring and summer months is a call to action, and new music is on the horizon. The crew is busy in the studio wrapping up a handful of new tracks that will be arriving at the ears of their listeners just in time for those long days on the beach. Pack your cooler, pack your SPF. Here we come sunshine.

For the last 2 weeks of February the city of Vancouver was rocked by the non-stop party that was the 2010 winter Olympics. Along with the party came record breaking athletic achievement from the Canadian Olympians, winning the highest number of gold medals in winter Olympic history. Wilderness Crew celebrated the games by singing to a packed Canvas Lounge following the closing ceremonies on February 28th. Earlier in the day, the Canadian Men’s Hockey team had taken the gold medal in a nerve racking overtime win against the USA. The city was absolutely popping, and it made for a truly epic night of music and celebration. Wilderness capped off the party with a high energy show at The Upstairs Cabaret in Victoria on Thursday, March 4th.

On January 31st, Wilderness Crew got a taste of nostalgia as they took the stage inside their former Roberts Creek Elementary School gymnasium in support of the Haitian relief effort. The boys belted out a stripped down acoustic set for an all ages crowd who selflessly donated their time and money to the cause. Wilderness T shirts and CDs were sold with proceeds being donated in full to the Red Cross. The money raised at the event will be matched by the Canadian Federal Government. Big thanks go out to all performers, volunteers and event organizers.

After years of testing the waters in various social networks, Wilderness finally has a place to call their own on the world wide web. We hope this official site can provide a more interactive and personal experience for our visitors. Feel free to hit us with feedback as to how we can make your Wilderness web experience even better. We’d like to to take this opportunity to thank anyone who’s ever listened to our music and been there to support us at our shows. We’re gonna keep bringing the good stuff, so be sure to check back here for updates and new music. A special thanks goes out to our good friend Skye Chilton for all his help behind the scenes, and our DJ Ev Quinn for his super fresh typeface designs. Welcome to www.wildernesscrew.com
